Cod liver oil is made from fresh cod liver and is a natural source of omega-3 in high amount. Omega-3 is a term for fatty acids, some of which have documented beneficial effect on the brain, eyes and heart. DHA contributes to maintenance of normal brain function and normal vision. EPA and DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart.

Some omega-3 fatty acids are important nutrients to take all year round. Especially if the diet is low in fish intake. In some countries like Denmark the authorities recommend a weekly intake of 350 g fish – (200 g fatty fish). The amount of omega-3 fatty acid is high in fatty fish.

Möller’s recommended daisy dose of cod liver oil is 5 ml. It is the amount in a large teaspoon or a child’s spoon. By comparison, a normal tablespoon holds 10 ml.
